Troubleshooting Common Webcam Issues
The Webcam Stream is Flickering
- Flickering is common on underpowered devices, such as the Raspberry Pi Zero W. The webcam stream is a resource-intensive process that struggles on such devices, especially when many clients are connected. Disconnect as many other apps and browsers as possible to improve your experience.
The Webcam Stream Won’t Load
- Ensure that experimental HLS live streaming is not enabled. Polymer does not support HLS yet.
- Ensure that your server address is correct, and that the webcam stream URL is reachable (accessible in the OctoPrint web interface under ‘Settings’ → ‘Webcam and Timelapse’ → ‘Stream URL’).
